Buchemwald fue un campo de concentración que funcionó desde 1930 hasta el 11 de abril de 1945, cuando las fuerzas aliadas avanzaban por el centro de Alemania hacia Berlin. Aun cuando no había sido concebido para ser un Campo de la Muerte, acá murireron miles de personas, de enfermedades, desnutrición y el desalmado tratamiento que los militares de las SS les dieron.La revista Das Spiegel de Alemania tiene un Foto Archivo de la realidad que se vivió en el Campo de Concentración en Weimar, en la colina de Buchenwald, comparto algunas fotos de su archivo. En la puerta de hierro forjada por donde todos los que allí iban debían de pasar está escrita la frase JEDEN DAS SEINE que significa "A cada quien lo suyo"
Buchenwald was a large concentration camp from the mid 1930s until its liberation on April 11, 1945 by American forces advancing through central Germany. Even though it was not made to be a "death camp" thousands did die of disease, malnutrition or the harsh treatment of the SS who guarded them.
